Zion National Park is definitely a landscape location. Unfortunately, I got sidetracked with the grey fox I posted yesterday and didn’t really get much time to seek out any of the park’s spectacular vistas. I grabbed this shot first thing in the morning on the way to a meeting. Nikon D800 with Nikkor 17-35mm lens (at 35mm) ISO 400, f/20 at 1/100th, 1/400th, 1/200th, 1/50th and 1/25th of a second
Oh my the places you have seen..!!! Incredible. I have not been to too many places, thats why I enjoy these all photos all the more…! Do you have any bio of all these adventures? You should write a book about how you got all these great shots…, if you haven’t done so already, I mean! Do you teach photography? So so interesting Sean…! (and awesome)
Thanks Tammy. I’m working on a few projects and have written quite a few articles for magazines. I do have one book published but it has little to do with wildlife. It’s called American Hydrant.
Wow beautiful.. It looks like a painting. If you don’t mind I’d like to keep this one for maybe one day when I have enough money I’ll have it printed into a larger size and buy a frame for it for my lounge room :-). Thank you for sharing. I also love taking pictures of beautiful things but I don’t have the cash to buy a really good camera and tripod. I get tired very quick and my left leg gives up when I walk for more than an hour, whether it’s a fast walk or a slow walk it happens the same way. So glad to see these beautiful animals to share, I know I can never see for real.

Sean, your “grab shots” are ridiculously good.
Thanks Michael. Never quite enough time but tough to screw up when the light is good and the subject looks like Zion.
Breathtaking. Thanks for sharing!
What a setting for our fox.Splendorous!
Wow! What a beautiful place! Great place for a meeting.
