The camera trap has been quite silent for the past month. So here’s one captured back in September when it seemed like bears were showing up every few days or so. Nikon D810 with Nikkor 17-35mm lens (at 17mm) ISO 500, f/8 at 1/125th of a second, Cognisys camera box, trail monitor and remote flashes.
Each of that bear’s eyes is in business for itself. Why are they looking in two different directions? Is it like an evolutionary thing that lets it spot prey? Or is one eye still hibernating?
I do have surveillance video of the mother knocking my camera over a few times on her way through. Luckily, with my propensity for low angles, it didn’t have too far to fall.

Very well could be Michael.
Why, that bear is smiling at the camera & maybe wondering which button it needs to push to get to the honey pot!
