I photographed this male waterbuck in Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda. The waterbuck is a large African antelope that dehydrates easily in hot weather and therefore spends most of its time in and around sources of water. Nikon D700 with Nikkor 70-200mm lens (at 160mm) ISO 400, f/5.6 at 1/200th of a second

Hi Michael, they spend a lot of time wading in water that comes up to about their knees, but mostly they are on dry land but close to water to drink when it starts to get hot.

Framed as in a tapestry—-An elegant lope of striking structure—-Hoping to wet his feet.
The Florida Possum won’t eat it’s food without first washing it in a clean water source. FYI. Who knew right?
Good info Marc. Maybe I’ll have to come down there and photograph some of those clean freak possums that you have running around.
