Warthogs don’t get a lot of respect from the safari-going crowd, but they’ve always been one of my favorites. Something about the way that they strut proudly across the savanna despite their decidedly unsexy appearance. This one was doing its thing in Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda. This hog looks decidedly focused on getting to its destination – a diner perhaps? It seems to have achieved a stride somewhere between a trot and a gallop. Some might even say the animal resembles a horse gone wrong. I like its firmly set jaw and its tail held high. I can see the appeal these animals hold for you Sean. Super shot!

—– Not sleek by any means

—– This tough guy can dance .
Pure confidence.
I love warthogs! Especially the babies. 😀 Thanks for this great picture! I really enjoy seeing your email show up every morning.
What a ‘sexy’ stride! This warthog knows he’s handsome. What confidence!
