As we close in on our second week of quarantine, I long for mornings like this, just two months ago out on the Mara plains in Kenya. Stay safe everyone. Nikon D850 with Nikkor 70-200mm lens (at 200mm) ISO 400, f/2.8 at 1/8000th of a second.
I am glad for a little rest from work, but will be glad when it gets back to nonal, so I can enjoy working again, take care and stay heath . thank again for all the great work. ).
I long to be outside photographing the nearby wildlife and probably could be doing at least some of that, while wearing a mask. I have been spending this time, however, largely indoors (without a mask!) scanning old film slides in the hopes that several carousel trays can one day be evicted on a permanent basis. Just thinking about the square footage we will soon acquire makes me giddy. Another gemstone in this process, is that electronic files (jpegs) require NO DUSTING! A third benefit is walking down memory lane, peering at old images of family members, friends, places & events that have all played roles in my lifetime. The true nuggets are images of those who have left this world, but whose lasting images provide evidence that they once danced on the stage of life. Complying in this manner with recent health department guidelines for social distancing, scanning old slides – though a time consuming and sometimes mind-numbing process – results in more than one silver lining. Stay healthy, all! Thanks for the beautiful visual distractions, Sean!

SO lovely, & peaceful. A great antidote to watching the news. Stay healthy.
