Superb Starling, Masai Mara, KenyaAnother common but often overlooked bird of the African savanna is the superb starling. They generally feed on the ground under acacia trees and have a varied diet that consists of grasshoppers, termites, beetles, ants, flies, worms, grains, fruits and berries. This one was foraging with a small flock near the entrance station to the Masai Mara where I was able to get out of the vehicle and down on the ground.
