Squirrel monkeys are the smallest of the four species of monkey found in Costa Rica. I was down on the Osa Peninsula near the Panama border when a troop of these little guys came for a visit — eager to feast on the red berries that were ripening on the local trees. So different from the monkey squirrels we see on the golf course down here., which lookalike squirrels with black masks like bandits!I can’t wait until you can capture them on film. These squirrel monkeys, on the other hand, are much more monkey-looking than squirrel-looking. Very cute animals..
