It’s been quite a while since I’ve been to Bosque Del Apache in New Mexico. This image is from back in 2009. Two snow geese coming in for a landing. Nikon D300 with Nikkor 200-400mm lens (at 250mm) ISO 800, f/4 at 1/500th of a second.
Sean,
I notice when I click on your photos I am no longer able to zoom in on them. Can this option be added to your site? Maybe I am the only one with this issue.
Hi Donna, not sure. I can still click on the image for the larger view. That said, I’m in the process of still updating and I’m likely going to use a different method of delivering the posts, so hopefully that helps. Are you looking in a browser on a computer or on mobile?
Bosque del Apache is my happy place. Hope to go back in the near future. Did you witness when the snow geese in the thousands land and take off? Not only the sight but the noise is incredible along with American bald eagles on the edges trying to catch a goose. And they do catch several. And did you capture the sandhill cranes?
Hi Rachel, yes, I was there during the mass congregations of sandhill cranes and snow geese and caught the takeoff each morning. I made sure to time my visit just after the Festival of the Cranes to avoid the crowds, although I suppose with my last name, I should return sometime during the festival.

FYI, I am able to spread thumb & forefinger on my ipad, which zooms in on the image.
Beautiful, Sean!

Sean I use my mobile and zoom with my fingers. Sometimes I like to zoom in on your subjects. I will check out my desktop. Enjoy your Monday.
Stunning!
