A three toed sloth sits in a cecropia tree in Soberania National Park in Panama. I photographed this guy from the rooftop of the lodge I was staying at only about an hour from Panama City. Nikon D810 with Nikkor 200-400mm lens (at 350mm) ISO 1600, f/4 at 1/80th of a second
I don’t know why sloths are so popular. They are adorable. Maybe it’s because, unlike most of us, they actually take their time doing things! Nice shot!

The wet look definitely makes sloths 15x to 20x sexier. I don’t know why they don’t all do it.

And they have that permanent smile on their faces. Just like dolphins.
Wonderful picture, Sean!
Thanks Sue. Hard to go wrong with a sloth.
I have never seen photo of a sloth that didn’t make me smile. They seem like humble, gentle souls. Nice capture.
About as passive as they come in nature. The demeanor of a manatee. Although those claws could do damage if need be.
