Southern Madagascar is known for its spiny forests that grow in the dry soils of the region. The tree branches look like giant pipe cleaners and pretty much everything, including the tree trunks seem to have prickers and thorns. Living in this challenging environment is the Verreaux’s sifaka lemur, fully adapted to thrive amongst the spines. What a great shot, a fab habitat & remarkable lemur. You have captured an overall exotic scene. Well done, Sean!
To me, Madagascar is the most exotic spot on earth. Can’t wait to go back some day.
That tail is so amazing!
Definitely some good length.
Wondering how you got this shot amongst all the thorny brush?! But he’s a beauty with an impossibly long tail!
If I recall correctly, we were on a pretty wide path looking into the forest. But it was quite a few years ago now.
