Prickly pear cactus is a non-native plant introduced to southern Madagascar by the French in the 18th century. oh what prickley dinner to eat, but once you get rid of the spines their is about 2-4 oz. of water per leaf, that is drinkable.. ( this might a good dinner if we run out of food some day.
