This white rhino calf was making all sorts of crazy faces at us. Young rhinos are very playful and act almost like energetic golden retriever pups as they bounce around in the grass. This one was photographed in Lewa, Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya. Nikon D300 with Nikkor 200-400mm lens (at 400mm) ISO 800, f/4 at 1/250th of a second

graet pic. looks like he is ready to charges at you.
Hey Michael,
No charge from this little guy, but another, much larger male charged us the following day.
how is it possible to be super cute and super ugly at the same time?
I like to think of myself in such terms, Angelina.
Do they wonder far from their parents or do they just play around close by?
Cute shot. It’s great to see their personalities come through in your shots. That’s different than most nature photographers. Well done.
Do you sell your prints?
This one played pretty close to Mom, but occasionally wandered off as curious baby animals will.
