The red howler is a subspecies of howler monkey found only in Bolivia. I photographed this one from a canoe on Lake Chalalan in Madidi National Park in the Bolivian Amazon.

I am seriously in awe at the sharpness of focus you get with a long lens sitting in a canoe! I can barely hold the longer lens steady if I am sitting in a chair, lol! Great shot!
