Bobcats aren’t the only locals taking photos of themselves with the camera trap. Earlier in the summer, this raccoon stopped by for a visit. Nikon D810 with Nikkor 20mm lens, ISO 500, f/14 at 1/200th of a second, Cognisys camera box, trail monitor and remote flash units.
After a couple of thousand dollars worth of repairs to a roof area where they nested in our former Michigan home, they have officially lost their “cuteness” factor for me. But it is a good picture of a rascal doing his thing.

I can imagine. Right now our home invaders seem to be the chipmunks.
Racoons often drop by with no notice. That’s why i keep a load of hot garbage on hand at all times, so I can be a good host.
