As I mentioned in a post last week, it rained a lot in Patagonia. In fact, almost the entire time I was there. But when the sun did peek through the clouds, it provided some dramatic light to go along with the dramatic scenery. In this instance, the shaft of light acted as both a spotlight and a backlight as the puma crossed in front of the massive face of Cerro Paine Chico. Incredible moment, captured with a little help from Nikon. Such an image would make me proud, Sean. Take a bow!
Thanks Sue. A bit of forced under exposure on this one to enhance that backlight. Nice when the animals walk right into it.
The blue sky and brown tones mesh well together. The puma adds the excitement.
Thanks Donna. Actually, that’s not the sky, it’s the face of a mountain.

Thanks for the kind words Karen. Sometimes it’s all about being at the right place at the right time.
Simply spectacular! The photo gods were smiling…
Thanks Laura. Nice when they smile down on us.
