Yesterday’s bee eater photo was one of my least popular posts in a while. Total clicks were down and it got zero comments. What does that mean? Time for an orangutan mother and baby. It was either that or a baby bear. Hope you like my choice of a mother orangutan and her baby girl who were checking out the action in Tanjung Puting National Park in Indonesian Borneo. I was blown away by your bee eater photo! As was my father, a true bird admirer….my whole family looks forward to your photos every day!! Orangutans are always welcome too!
Ok! My dad just told me your posts are the “treasure” on his new smartphone! Of course he means aside from the photos I send him every day from the dog beach!
Love the orangutans! The bee eater photo was cool too, was just rushing around too much yesterday with no time to comment 🙂 At least you get comments on most of your beautiful photos, my Photo of the Week posts get nothing but 100s of spam comments, so that’s been fun, lol…
great bee eater photo! something between a cedar waxwing and a summer tanager. i’m a new birder and new post-er. got your link through my bird club. makes my morning to view a photo first, then get on with work emails. thank you.
Sean, I was too busy to comment on the bee-eaters yesterday, but I have to say, that watching Carmine Bee-eaters at Lake Kariba was such an enchanting experience. The bee-eaters are among my favorites for their beauty. The Carmines were hovering like scarlet helicopters and then swooping at great speed after their prey! They and the Lilac-breasted Rollers turned me into an avid birdwatcher!
Your photographs are amazing…These little birds are very hard to capture because of their size and speed.
Thank you for sharing your pictures..they brighten up my mailbox every day!

Actually, I thought your bee eater photo was marvelous!
Thanks Ann. Not many people clicked on the post yesterday so I figured it was a bit of a dud.
Feathers, fur – look forward to it all- -best way to start the day ! Thank you.
Nice to here Peter. Thanks.

Gorgeous
I like this photograph because neither of the two primates pictured are eating bees.

Thanks Amanda. And yes, I get those hundreds of spam comments too. No way of avoiding it I guess.

You’re welcome. Thanks for looking.
This photo really makes me want to stop eating Ourangutan burgers.
Louis, Louis, Louis!!!
I could have used this picture as reference when I was creating the digital orangutan for the Robitusin Ad I did with Jan Z. at Grey.
Ah, I remember, the real orangutan that became a digital orangutan.
Sending the orangutan pic out to the Twitterverse. You know they’ll be happy!
P.S. I love all your photos.
Thanks Carol.
For the record I loved the bees too! But, these guys are pretty cute too, Crane.
