Giant tortoises are the oldest living land animals on earth — which I figured was appropriate as I turn 50 today — not yet halfway there if I was the average tortoise. This Galapagos giant tortoise was photographed in the Santa Cruz Highlands in the Galapagos Islands. Happy birthday to me. Happy Birthday Seanie. You will always be kept young by the youthful sounds of “Seanie Flame and the Briquettes”. I love your photos…all of them. Its a great way to end my day
Craner you are young of heart and spirit. And I still think of you as my little boy, even though you have celebrated all those birthdays and grown all those feet tall. No mother could be prouder than I to have you call me mom. And you font have nearly the number of wrinkles as that tortoise. Keep on moisturizing!!!
Thank you for sharing these wunderful pictures and to let us feel, how precious all those different species are.
Have a wunderful birthday!
Best wishes sent from Germany

Thanks Lon. Time to get the old band back together. Seanie Flame and the Briquettes were last spotted at the Highland Park cul de sac circa 1983.

You’re still younger than me, child!
As I always say Kim — no matter how old you get, you’ll always be younger than you’ll ever be. That’s optimistic, I think.
Happy birthday. Older and wiser, like your subject today.
Thanks Gray. Although not so sure I’m wiser but I’ll go with it.
