Just back from a long weekend in Colorado visiting friends. Of course, I also took my cameras and had the opportunity to get to a few of my old hotspots. These goats were photographed at Mount Evans, the highest paved road in North America — and one of the best places in the country to see mountain goats. You can see clouds down below in the background. More on these guys in future posts when I have time to process all the shots. Agreed. Definitely feels like a scene out of “The Lord of The Rings” trilogy. “The Battle of Evermore” or “Misty Mountain
Hop” should be playing as the soundtrack. Nice shot Sean!!
Nice, Sean! The little ones’ coats look so downey and the elder goat shedding its coat is remarkable. Didn’t it know it should have moved up the appointment at the beauty shop?

Magnificent. I can’t help but think of The Fellowship of the Ring attempting to cross the mountain pass at Caradhras.

No doubt Sue. At this time of the year, the adults are very shaggy with the fur falling off of them.
Beautiful white goat angels floating above the clouds! Seriously, love that detail in the pic, amazing depth!
Thanks Angelina. It was nice to spend some quality time with this goat family after all the other humans had left the area.
Hi Sean, The goats are beautiful. Your photo is fantastic! It reminds me of a painting at the Wadsworth. Thank you
Thanks Peg. Nice to find a location where all you have to do is point and shoot.

Wow it was nice up there that day.
Nice capture
Great seeing you Mr Crane
No doubt Pete. Penguin coming for Jackson later this week.
LIke that shot. I ‘d like to visit there. Nice shaggy coat.
It’s a very easy drive from Denver. You should definitely check it out if ever in the area.
Gorgeous!
Thanks Amanda. It’s one of my favorite spots in the US.
Above the clouds! Stunning.
Thanks Rachel. I got lucky with the low lying clouds on that particular night.
Thanks for sharing! And I thought Mt Washington in New Hampshire was high!
Yeah, but then again, it’s all relative to where the mountain starts. Denver is already a mile high.
looks like this wheather is cooler then down here in calif. we are burning up by heat and fire.
No doubt Michael, it was nice and cool up there with the goats.
Hope to see this sight some day in our travels & visit all your hotspots , you have surely opened a new world to us all
Thanks Sean
