Two mountain goat kids hang out in their high-altitude terrain. It’s always nice to visit Mount Evans, about an hour and a half from Denver. Even if the mountain goats and the bighorn don’t show up, the views are always spectacular. Nikon D700 with Nikkor 70-200mm lens (at 70mm) ISO 200, f/6.3 at 1/1250th of a second.
I’m with Shardae, all this majesty is making me nauseous. Enough transcendence, okay? Let’s just have a minute without intimations of the sublime and infinite. Thank you.
I will never forget the day we hiked up to see St. Mary’s Glacier and then to the tundra in Estes Park. Obviously that was many years ago, but it goes to show, memories of these spectacular sites stay with us. The views in Colorado are fabulous. or to quote my friend Shardae, majestic! perfect word

I am out of breath thinking what it took to get that high up, and so close to the clouds. Beautiful! A ho-hum day, though, for the mountain goats!
