This one is from a trip to Maine a few years back. I was at Baxter State Park when I saw this moose cow in the middle of Sandy Stream Pond. Moose like the nutrient rich vegetation that sits on the bottom of the pond. She was out there for what seemed like an hour, grazing under water and allowing me to get many shots.
Beautiful animal captured brilliantly. Love the rim llght and the sharpness on the moose and water drops and the level of blur in the background that gives a 3D effect.

Definitely my favorite of the deer species. Always on the lookout for more moose sightings.
I’ve never heard of a Moose Cow and was wondering what it looked like. Turns out, the name is literally perfect as it looks like a moose + cow!
Were you lying down to get this shot or were you in the water?
Also looks like a horse. And a donkey. Love how the water is trickling all along his chin/neck, whatever you want to call it.
