Just back from Europe where Shelley and I drove from Paris to Rome in a little over a week. Other than a few hoofed creatures in the Alps that I was lucky enough to photograph, it was clearly not a wildlife trip. The landscapes, however, were another story — especially in Tuscany. This was taken from the balcony of our room in the medieval hill town of Montalcino. Vineyards surround Montalcino and the local red, Brunello di Montalcino is considered one of the best in the country.
Sometimes, you just have to point your camera at something, and click the button. And there, captured inside your camera, is an image. I guess what I’m saying Sean, is that sometimes….you have to wing it. And here Sean, having wung it, you are soaring higher than eagles or moths.
this SUCKS Crane- what is this crap? oh – now you like pretty sunsets too? (ok – it’s kinda awesome but then I’d just be following the crowd and what would be the fun in that?)

Beautiful! Looks like you could just scoop that fog up.

Your landscapes (with and without animals) are my favorites. As cheesy as it sounds, this is breathtaking!
This is stunning Sean – i love the detail going all the way back to the thin strip of mountains in the distance – great shot.
Prettier than any lemur you ever lensed.
beautiful…
