I have seen an occasional marmot while traversing the Tioga Pass Road in Yosemite, but never more than one at a time. This is an exceptional capture, Sean, and I like the play of light on the fur that seems to turn these two marmots into blondes!
OK–who didn’t put the toilet seat down?? Or were they fighting about who should take out the garbage? Or (and most likely) who really gets the girl?!. Great shot.

Yeah, the light does do that but they were a bit more blonde than the average marmot.
