This one seemed particularly prehistoric to me. Marine iguanas are everywhere in the Galapagos Islands. So much so that you have to be careful while hiking so that you don’t step on one of them. They can be colorful — in shades of orange and green — but most are black and blend in with the lava rock that blankets much of the islands. Cute in a terrifying sort of way. I like to take pics of my kids from this angle as well, always cute. Looks like you’re on another planet, that’s crazy!

That looks like one happy iguana, Sean!
The dude abides!
The Iguanas’ lament to be —- Between nurture of the chilling sea —- And the suns’ dear warmth.
He looks like he’s wearing a sweater! He looks like something in a horror movie. Or maybe he’s a she. How would you know?
He looks like godzilla. And, those finger nails! I wouldn’t want to tangle with him.
This is a great pic. Nice work Sean.
