When lion cubs are young, they seem to be all head and very little body, like this one photographed in the Masai Mara of Kenya. Nikon D300 with Nikkor 200-400mm lens (at 360mm) ISO 800, f/6.3 at 1/320th of a second.
What a fantastic picture! You really captured his personality. I only take pics of my own cats in my home and am always trying for the right pose. I do great when they are asleep but never manage to get a good shot when they are awake! HaHa.

This is too cute.
Seriously, this is too cute. It’s a dangerous game. You’ll stop with so much pure cuteness if you know what’s good for you.

Thanks Karen. Lion cubs at this age are hard to go wrong with. Just point the camera and let them do the rest.
So cute , Karen would want to take him home
Even though they grow so fast
Aunt Sue
No doubt about that. She wasn’t on this particular trip with me. It was bad enough that she wanted to take a grown cheetah back home with us.
Totally sweet!
