As I post this, there’s still twenty or so minutes left of Easter Sunday. So naturally, here’s the annual rabbit post. This time a desert cottontail from the Badlands of South Dakota. Hope everyone had a great day. Nikon D800 with Nikkor 200-400mm lens (at 400mm) ISO 400, f/4 at 1/800th of a second.

Nothing sweeter than a bunny! I recently photographed for the first time a desert cottontail while visiting in the Phoenix area. If you ever get the chance to visit Arizona, Sean, watch for the amazing species that survive very well in that climate. In the few days I was there and most of the time I was at my sister’s home in the middle of a typical subdivision of Goodyear, I saw lots of gambel quail, cottontails, gila woodpecker and great-tailed grackle.

Yes, a great place indeed. I’ve been to many places in the state. I especially like the area around Tucson.
Happy Easter to you too, Sean! Love those ears!!!
