Seemed like a good day for a baby monkey. This one being a hanuman langur, photographed in Kanha National Park in India. Nikon D300 with Nikkor 200-400mm lens (at 400mm) ISO 800, f/5 at 1/200th of a second.
The smile on this youngster’s face reminds me of the programmed ones we get when we take photos of human children. They learn really early on to smile for the camera. And it doesn’t always looks spontaneous. What it looks like is ‘I’m supposed to smile.’ 🙂

Great way to start the week Sean!
Thanks Jen. Cute little guys.
Every day is a good day for a baby monkey. At least that’s what we say where I work, Babymonkeymart on Route 5.
I can’t say that I’ve been there. Will check it out next time I’m on Route 5.
Can we nickname this one “Baby Yoda”?
That certainly fits.

Yes, the baby langurs were even more human looking than the adults.
What a remarkable looking wee one!
Thanks Sue. I agree.
I love its face
Thanks Gina.
