Thanks to Connecticut Magazine for the Q&A feature in their May issue. And thanks to my wife Karen for taking the cover image which you can click to get to the full digital version of the article.
Well done, Sean! I’m going to find a copy of that magazine. I recognized many of the images having seen them on your daily posting, but some are new to me & all are awesome! Enjoy the many accolades surely coming your way from the subscribers to that periodical!
What a well written article! That photo of you is the very first one I saw many years ago. Our camera club so enjoyed your presentation a few months ago! I’ll be sure to share this article with the club members. Congrats on the continuing well-deserved coverage!
Great interview, Sean! So wonderful to hear you continue to get press which should result in an even wider audience for your talents. It’s very interesting to me to lo learn that your creative background began with writing and evolved with your camera. It’s something we have in common. You mentioned that you did a stint in Detroit — any association with the Crane Studio in the Dearborn, MI area ? Keep up the fabulous work.
Thanks Laura. Yes, I was in Detroit from 2003 through about 2008. But no, have not heard of Crane Studio. I worked at Doner Advertising in Southfield and then Leo Burnett in Troy. I lived downtown for 3 years and then 3 in Royal Oak.
Crane Studio was a portrait studio in Dearborn, MI, doing a lot of Graduation portraits & yearbook photos. I’m sure they did other things as well. The studio has been gone for at least a few years now. I was familiar with Donor Advertising through my work in communications, and the towns you mentioned were all my old stomping grounds before we moved to FL. As always–small world. Hope to meet you someday. We are close friends with your Aunt Sue who introduced me to your work.

Great article, Sean!
Thanks Melanie.
Are you sure that’s a Feature in Connecticut Magazine, it looks like a Cheetah on the hood of a car.
Great profile of your work Sean! Congratulations!
Thanks Jen.

Thanks Rachel. Appreciate the kind words. And the opportunity to present to the camera club. Yes, that photo was from back in 2012.
Bad ass picture and really great article Sean! But I’m with Karen – love good food and good hotels when I travel 🙂
Ha. Yes, I like those things too. Only not when there are animals around.
Ok love to hear these stories about you & Karen, Great Work for all to see
Thanks Anonymous.
