Here’s a rarity from me — nature with no creatures attached. Just a simple shot of a fern frond before unraveling. I was shooting tree frogs at the time on a drizzly night in the Ecuadorian cloud forest. Nikon D700 with Nikkor 105mm macro lens, ISO 200, f/10 at 1/60th of a second, two Nikon SB-90 flash units on a circular flash bracket
Around twenty years ago I dug ferns in the forest behind my house and planted them in a shaded area by my porch. I never tire of watching the fronds unravel into a delicate fern. They are good eating as well. Stir fry or pickled.

I had a fern like this in my back yard, but it lasted only 3 months til the heat kill it off or it died.
Forest nebula spring—-Coiled in boundless energy—-To fan into lace.
Reminds me of New Zealand Sean. We have a lot of ferns over here in our bush and forests. Nicely taken.
Lovely!!
Love the creatures Sean, so I don’t know why I feel this way…. but this is Exquisite!!
This is so beautiful.
