Here’s one for the frog fans. This handsome fellow emerged from a pond of duckweed soup and crawled up onto that log for a little rest. The location is Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge in southern Indiana.
I know Mo. Long overdue. Believe it or not, there’s a woman at my office that won’t even click the link if she sees the word frog because they repulse her so much.

It is about time you posted a frog!

Great capture! A real prince of a frog!
Finally! A frog that actually looks like a frog! Nice shot, Craner!
Yes, finally a green one — like Kermit.
A regular fashion model with duckweed arranged studiously to look careless. Love the wet greens and that marvelous countenance. Super shot.
Thanks Michael, frogs do tend to be among nature’s most agreeable models.
What were you lying in to get this shot?
Just lying on the ground at the edge of the pond. Nothing my adventure pants couldn’t handle.
