Aracaris are in the toucan family, although their beaks aren’t quite as large as true toucans. I am certainly learning a great deal of the beauties of this world. Do you suppose affording a 200-400 mm lens would help me take pictures like yours? John
It’s a great lens, although getting a bit old. The 80-400mm is much lighter and much cheaper. And there’s also a 200-500 that is much cheaper and lighter as well. You just give up a bit of speed with those two lenses (but only one stop) as they are f/5.6 at the long end.
You’ll love it Gray. September is the best time for jaguars, although they are possible all year. In August and September they are most likely to come to the river’s edge to cool off.
