This one goes out to another little snow monkey friend of mine named Luke who was born last week. Also known as a Japanese macaque, this little guy was relaxing in the hot water springs near Nagano in Japan.
I’m sending this to a friend who won a gold medal in the downhill event at Nagano. He always talks about being the first person up the lift and watching the snow monkeys running by.

I have always wanted to know how they warm up after they get out of the hot water and are wet to the bone in freezing weather?
From what I understand, their fur keeps them warm in much the same way that an otter’s does.

Wow, you are already friends with Luke. This monkey’s cute, but I think Luke is cuter.
Awwww. Little Luke. This is too cute Crane! 🙂
