Here’s another pine marten from Silver Gate, Montana, just outside the northeast entrance to Yellowstone. There were two of these guys running around. This one grabbed a chunk of icy snow in his mouth and ran off.
That’s so funny, I wonder why he grabbed it? Animals are so interesting and funny. Every photograph you take seems to capture a behavior or something about the animal that I have never seen.

I would love to have one of these as a pet. Maybe next time you go out there you can bring an empty backpack. I’ll make it worth your while.
