I was in a small boat traveling upriver when we spotted this panther chameleon crawling through the reeds near the town of Maroansetra in Madagascar. No doubt Sue. I once saw a documentary on how they are the most stealth of all animals due to all their super powers — color changes, 180 degree eyeballs, etc.
Impressed with Nikon D40X with Nikkor 18-55mm lens. I have that lens. Just goes to show ya that you can do fine work with older equipment. Great shot and detail!

Yeah, that was my backup camera and lens back in the day. I didn’t take many pics with that combo but it served me well when I did.
