November is the time of year for baby zebras on the Laikipia Plains of Kenya. It’s also the time of year for the short rains. In this photo I got both. Nikon D300 with Nikkor 200-400mm lens (at 400mm) ISO 1600, f/4 at 1/500th of a second
Lots going on here. Facing opposite directions wiith stripes. One looks wet [the young one] the other doesn’t. Distant tree in the fog. Tall grass and four ears ups. I feel a haiku coming on. 🙂 As always, Sean, great shot!

beautiful shot!
Sooo cute. The baby is soaked and the mama’s just got some spikey hair thing going on.
OK. This pic has the potential to replace Twitter’s enthusiasm for orangutans. Nicely done.
Thanks Carol, and speaking of, I think it’s about time I posted another orangutan. Stay tuned for later this week.
Nicely done Sean. Kudos to you sir.
Poor little guy’s stripes are out of place. . . but mama’s still picture perfect!
