Bull Moose with Impressive Rack

Bull Moose, Church State Park, AlaskaIf you’ve ever seen a moose up close, you know just how big these creatures really are. Their antlers can be more than six feet wide and weigh a hundred pounds. Yet somehow, they seem to effortlessly drift into and out of thick forested areas. This bull had an impressive rack, indicating he was a bit older. All that green gave me a nice opportunity to frame a headshot. Like the moose I posted last week, this guy was in Chugach State Park in Alaska, looking for a willing female.

The state of Alaska should hire you to help promote tourism. This is another stunning image. What a gorgeous specimen you captured, Sean!

Thanks Mary. It sure was, especially when he let me know that he didn’t like my positioning between him and the lone female.

As huge as he is, there is something gentle about his face. Great capture, Sean.

You posted the moose for me! Even though he is not a Maine Moose, he is a handsome beast.

A little late, and on the opposite side of the country, but yes, let’s call this Gray’s moose.

I don’t know in what proportions luck and hardwork help your work, but neverheless, may you be blessed with both if the results are such as you show to us. I, for one, am very grateful. John
