Red Fox

Red Fox, Lake Clark National Park, AlaskaOther than bears, there were also a few red fox making the rounds near our lodge in Lake Clark National Park. I ran into this guy once or twice. He was usually a bit timid, but on this occasion he let me snap some shots at close range. Perhaps he thought that fern was keeping him more concealed than it actually was.

You sure you weren’t in a studio, where this fox was paying you to do a photo shoot so it could add an 8×10 glossy to its portfolio for movie auditions? You captured a rising star, Sean!

Ha. Thanks Sue. I do like the placement of that fern.

This is great. Was it sleeping when it realized you were there?

Hey Rick, no, he (or maybe she) was walking along a ridge of trees and then just settled down, somewhat unmindful of me being there snapping away.
