African Wild Dog Having a Good Yawn

African Wild Dog, Linyanti, BotswanaThis African wild dog was just letting out a bit of a yawn before settling down for the night. After tracking them for quite some time, we finally came upon this pack of wild dogs late afternoon in northern Botswana.

Could he possibly have any leopard in him? His legs look like they have leopard markings. Or in nature do animals stay within their own classification? I can’t imagine any canine mating with a feline.
