Prairie Dog Begging For Mercy

Prairie Dog, Badlands National Park, South DakotaThe lighting wasn’t great on this one, but the pose makes up for it. This little prairie dog in the Badlands of South Dakota seemed to be pleading with me not to take his/her picture. As anyone who has observed prairie dogs can attest, they can be amusing little creatures.

You were at the right time in the right place. I wonder if any other photographer will capture this pose? Probably not. To me it looks like he’s having a really good stretch in the warm sunlight! But I like your caption better.
